I have been trying to get away from conventional perfume, on the search for a more natural way of smelling good. I have moved to a natural deodorant, which has been a real trial and error experiment. But I have found scent to be much more challenging. I am a Chanel Mademoiselle lover - always has been my go to. I love how it makes me feel expensive and sexy. But on my quest to move to natural beauty(blog on this next week!), I am going to have to part ways with it.
A really great friend of mine has always had the best smelling house, best smelling laundry (more on my favorite natural laundry detergent in a later blog!), best smelling hair, well, you get it... She recently started an online boutique (link to that here), and she sprays the packages with the scent. I couldn't stand not knowing anymore and asked her - "Its my scent - Ambre"
Ambre is a super cute women-owned (yay!) company from Indiana. Their "products are made by hand with 100% pure and natural vegan ingredients from all over the world." Their scents are carried in a very limited collection of boutiques and salons all over the United States. Unfortunately, none near my house. So online it is - unfortunately they do not offer free shipping (one of my biggest pet peeves), but shipping costs are relatively low. I went ahead and ordered a sample pack ($12 plus shipping) so I could try out all the scents and see which was for me. They do suggest layering the scents, to create one that is unique to you, which I am going to experiment with as well.
Apparently, their deodorant is amaze, which I am super excited about, as I have yet to find the holy grail of natural deodorant (will have to do a blog post on this saga too, sigh...).
So check them out, highly recommend! Would love to hear about your natural product favorites, comment away.
